BA (HONS) Fashion
Kingston BA FASHION is one of the most renowned fashion courses in global fashion education. It is one of the first fashion design courses to be established in the UK and its achievements have led the sector ever since. The course is ranked number 1 in London and 3 in the UK (Guardian 2020) and is one of a handful of worldwide institutions to be awarded four badges of excellence by the Business of Fashion. With a tradition of strong industry links and an extensive employer network, Kingston produces students that are aspirational, world-class and industry-ready. Students regularly add to that reputation by gaining notable employment, winning national and international competitions and gaining extensive press coverage. The course supports students by developing their own signature style by exploring how fashion design is influenced by cultural, social, critical and historical studies in conjunction with the core skills required to inform a unique design identity whilst preparing them fully for employment in the Fashion Industry. Students have the opportunity to engage with Knit and print, an area of excellence at Kingston, which is supported by dedicated workshops.
The BA Fashion course focuses on the skills required for successful industry practitioners. Innovative, strategic, practical and analytical skill training prepare students for a future in fashion design.
