Specialist arts campus with over 100 years of creative expertise
Our specialist arts campus in Worthing evolved from the former West Sussex College of Art and Design, founded in 1912 and today it is home to a wide range of degrees for the creative industries, including art, design, music and performing arts.
Our creative degrees are validated by University of the Arts London (UAL).
Taught by industry practitioners, our courses reflect current industry expectations. Our excellent links with employers provide work placements and competitions with high profile brands.

BA (Hons) Fashion Design
This course provides a ‘boutique’ educational experience that stimulates and nurtures individual creative talent and innovation. You’ll be equipped with a range of intellectual, analytical, practical and entrepreneurial skills to prepare you for a career in the global fashion industry.
You'll experience a broad range of activities to create new and innovative fashion products. There is a strong emphasis on sustainable practice from concept through to design. Live projects and industry placements develop you as an individual, encouraging specific interests so as to foster designers who are creative, ethically aware, analytical and self-motivated.
You’ll explore the potential of areas such as fashion illustration and drawing, pattern cutting, draping on the stand, garment manufacture, textiles, fashion marketing and the business environment, trend predictions and forecasting. Visual research, colour work, CAD and fabric sourcing are vital elements that form the basis of all project work.
