INSPIRATION

Fashion Against Gun Violence

This project is driven by the pressing issue of gun control injustice in America and the heart-wrenching reality of a mother resorting to sending her daughter to school wearing a bulletproof dress for protection. Drawing inspiration from the juxtaposition of military uniforms and school attire, this collection aims to spark a dialogue on the urgent need for safer educational environments, by merging elements of structured military aesthetics with the familiar symbols of school clothing.

Inspired by the captivating Eastern Orthodox Church interiors and their exquisite murals, the following project explores the fusion of art and fashion. Drawing from the prints, designs, and silhouettes found in Eastern Europe, Dolce and Gabbana's Fall 2024 collection embodies the richness of this cultural heritage. Blending traditional motifs with contemporary elements, the collection becomes a harmonious blend of history and innovation; a mesmerizing display of cultural fusion.
