About Me

HI IM YU-JOU,CHAO A GRADUAE FROM FJU UNIVERSITY.

YU-JOU,CHAO was inspired by the germane episode “DARK” which mentioned about parallel universe, she used fishing yarn, knitting jacquard and tassel to explore the issue.

“We will be alive when we connect with each other.”said by Yu-Jou, Chao. The project of Déjà vu mentioned about the relationship between people and payroll universe. Thus, the collection uses knitting jacquard to present the fluidity of time and the issue of Deja vu.

INSPIRATION

Idea of DĂ©jĂ  vu started from my life experience.

In the germane episode “Dark” uses the view of the main actor and actress wake up from the nightmare to point out that two individual universes can connect with the dream. Therefore, I got a conclusion which is “Maybe people can share the dream with whoever they want when they fall asleep. After they wake up, they actually leave some pieces of the mental in the their brain, when the mental pieces come to the same feeling with the reality and it is how the Déjà vu happen.

I’m fascinated with parallel universe; therefore I decided my graduate project when I watched the story of the episode “Dark”. I explore the situation between of me and Déjà vu, I found out that I would be with my family or my friends when the Déjà vu happened. Therefore, I used the overlay image of my friend, knitting jacquard and tassel to express the view of Deja vu.

MY WORK

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

WOOL, NYLON, METALLIC YARN AND TRANSPARENT YARN

I used wool, nylon, metallic yarn and transparent yarn to create different texture in textile. For example, I will mixed transparent yarn, nylon and metallic yarn these three types of yarn and created very flexible and shinny textile. On the other hand, I use wool, nylon and metallic yarn to knit jacquard pattern in order to create soft texture.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO THINK TO MUCH. JUST DO IT.
