Conceptual thinking and a strong awareness of trends allow me to work creatively in multiple areas from design to marketing. During my three years at university, I have developed a strong interest in the fields of sustainability, innovation and technology. These topics have made me become aware of the issues behind the fashion industry.
The exploration of sustainability, innovation and technology has led my final project in creating a digital fashion platform —— DiVerse. With the aim of addressing sustainability issues in fashion, the platform will help more brands join the digital revolution and reinvent fashion consumption of younger generations.
The metaverse is evolving into a thriving meta-economy and is changing the way people understand fashion. It unlocks the potential of digital fashion. More and more brands are recognising the benefits of digitisation and embracing digital fashion to achieve sustainable and innovative business models. For new generations of consumers, digital fashion offers endless possibilities for self-expression as digital designs beyond physical limitations.
The business concept was also developed to address the issues of overconsumption and overproduction in today's fashion industry. To get consumers and brands thinking in a more innovative and environmentally friendly way by providing digital clothing that eliminates waste and reduces carbon footprint, while allowing consumers to explore their digital identity in a sustainable way.
DiVerse would partner with emerging brands and designers to bring creative digital fashion pieces to consumers. Based on partnerships, consumers will have access to digital version garments from designer labels and emerging brands at more affordable prices. Besides, DiVerse can help brands to create digital identities for its physical collections, balancing the physical and digital convergence of the brand's values. With the AR app, a real-time fitting experience can be brought to consumers, making digital clothing more meaningful and accessible.
