About Me

HI, IM Yining Wang, a womenswear designer graduated from BIFT!

As my interest lay on futuristic theories and Transhumanism, I’ve developed my fashion study to reflect and predict what that future would be.

I have investigated a large number of experiments about transhumanism, trying to build a real cosmetic medicine center in the future. Existing in the form of virtual reality, its main business is to manufacture texture and wrinkle in the future no-aging and wrinkles world. I created an Instagram account for this virtual clinic. I post my ideas、some sources of inspiration、originally virtual cosmetic medicine cases as well as final products on this account. I hope that my series can have an in-depth combination with new media and my target audience can be expanded.

INSPIRATION

I have many ideas for the future development of mankind.

I paid attention to Zoltan Istvan, one of the US presidential candidates. As a staunch supporter of transhumanism, he believes that technology can make mankind perfect and achieve immortality. So I imagined that these immortal technologies were really realized and continued after he was elected. If human beings really become non-aging creatures, what will happen to the world? And after a few generations, will human beings begin to miss the time when they were old?

I used silica gel to simulate the smooth and no-pore skin surface. Besides, to model the shape of wrinkles on the face, I manufacture uneven texture on the fabric with designed lines. After completion of the wrinkle texture, by taking into account the temperature and dynamics of the human body and incorporating more interaction between fabric and body shape, I injected liquid with bright colors into the tube to achieve a fresh flowing.
