About Me

Hi My name is Soo, a graduate from Nottingham Trent university.

Specialising in menswear and print, Yeonsoo Park is a fashion designer who loves to experiment with various different materials and silhouettes. Her interest areas include but are not limited to art, fashion, psychology and society, combining all into fashion.

Soo loves designing both menswear and womenswear, however, realised that her personal design is more menswear focused with an avant-garde form. Soo loves to experiment with unusual shapes to find her own style.

INSPIRATION

Exploring the unconscious world by tailoring

It has been my dream to blend psychological perspectives within art. Combining both 'fashion’ which is my major in and ‘Human’ which is what we encounter in our lives. Based on the memories of suffering from insomnia in the past and being pressed by scissors made me question where these dreams comes from.

There are times where I see myself acting and thinking differently from my will and thoughts. The mind doesn't intended to, but the behaviour becomes crooked and completely arbitrary. The unconscious that people find hard to admit but clearly exists inside any human. It provides opportunity to encounter the real me, who has been unconsciously pressed by social awarenesses and standards. Looking into the unconsciousness, I wonder if I can become a more honest person to the world and oneself.
