About Me
Hey, Im Tom a Graduate from The University of East London.
A key aspect I always try and include in my work is inclusivity and diversity, as I think it is important to make everyone feel seen, accepted and celebrated.
My passion for inclusion within the fashion industry serves as great inspiration for my create work, and has lead me to collaborate with other driven passionate creators. I believe pushing the message of diversity is needed as it is something which needs to improved upon within creative industries and brought into the future.
INSPIRATION
My initial inspiration was to make something for queer creatives.
As I wanted to create something for queer creatives I researched into social media platforms, apps and websites that were specifically catered towards people who identify within the LGBTQIA+ community and umbrella term ‘Queer”. I found from my research that most online platforms catered towards queer people were based on dating and making romantic relationships so I thought a gap in the market would be to make an online platform where creatives could connect, collaborate and create work opportunities.
The platform called ‘NETWERK’ will be accessible through app, website and on social media networks, each outlet having its own individual purpose for NETWERK but all used to showcase and celebrate queer talent within creative industries. As somebody who identifies as queer myself I wanted to create a safe space where creatives could express their queerness and feel free to share their work in an environment which would be free of discrimination and bias.

As NETWERK's aim is to help aid creatives in finding collaborative contacts, I collaborated myself with a fellow creative who was starting a creative agency to do a shoot that would be used as a promotional tool for both my platform and their agency 'All4'. We joined forces using our existing network to cast creatives that would be ideal users of my platform and talent for their agency, the shoot was highly successful in bringing together creatives from the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to work together and create!.
