About Me

Hi ! I'm sijia Liu, a fashion design graduate from DMU

As a couturier, everyday life is often my inspiration. Therefore, the functionality of clothing is my focus area. On the other hand, I am good at printing design, and I have good painting skills. I am good at transforming my painting patterns into printing patterns.

My work series will adopt printing technology, and combine with other fabrics on the basis of printed fabrics to produce new fabrics. In order to focus on function and seasonal adaptation, the whole series uses different forms of detachable parts (such as open-end invisible zippers, four buttons, etc.). Each garment can be disassembled, separated and deformed, and each garment bag contains one or more garments. Since the clothes can be separated between the two, it is also possible to increase the utilization of the conversion between different styles.

INSPIRATION

My inspiration comes from my daily life - I often sit by the window and look at the clouds in a daze

The inspiration for this collection comes from my habits at home (like sitting by the window looking at the clouds), and what I often do outside with my friends, looking at the sky in a daze. At home I studied the morphology of the Windows in different states, and the interaction between me and the Windows, and extracted their folds. On the other hand, I extracted the colors of the sky and clouds. I also analyzed the state of clouds and the attempts to combine different clouds for my costume.

About the second transformation of cloth

On the basis of the printed fabric, I tried to sew the shape of the cloud with the combination of wool and net yarn, which was used for the second modification of the fabric.

I hope girls can try different styles of design concepts.
