About Me

Hi, I’m Muna a fashion design graduate from University of Bolton

Muna is a fashion designer whose passion goes beyond creating beautiful pieces. Her hometown sparked a purpose in her. Through her designs, she is determined to raise awareness of these issues and make a positive impact on the world.

Growing up in Kenya her childhood was filled with joyful memories of caring for animals and being in awe of nature. From chasing chickens on the farm to playing with goats in the village, and living in the city near the beach. She was always surrounded by beauty and happiness. However, she also witnessed the devastating effects of environmental crisis and poverty. Her goal is to raise awareness through her designs and use her brand to send a message to the world.

INSPIRATION

Growing up in Kenya: How My Roots Taught me to Cherish the Earth

Living in my hometown and learning about my roots has given me a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and rich culture of my surroundings. It has inspired me to create an environmentally friendly fashion line that celebrates the beauty of Kenya and addresses critical issues facing the country.

My latest collection draws on my personal experiences living on a farm, surrounded by animals and growing fruits and vegetables. I am passionate about creating sustainable fashion that reflects my roots and supports a more ethical and responsible industry.

DETAIL

African Heritage Meets Modern Fashion: The Pleated and Wrapped Garment

The pleated and wrapped garment is inspired by traditional African fashion, which often features flowing, draped fabrics and intricate pleating techniques. However, this design also incorporates modern elements, such as the use of earthy green tones and a balance of champagne colour and also uses symmetrical lines.
