I am a multidisciplinary creative specialising in fashion marketing, creative direction and fashion photography. With a love for art and storytelling through visual aesthetics, I am passionate about turning ideas into reality. With a background in fine art, I am able to channel my creative skillset to construct visually compelling narratives with purpose.
My creative projects are driven by research and development, ensuring all aspects of my visual outcomes are informed and meaningful. I take inspiration from the things around me, able to bring together a variety of sources to inform my creative vision. Experimentation with colour, composition and a variety of different mediums allows me to create unique outcomes. I am passionate about using my creativity to produce projects which are meaningful.
INSPIRATION
My final major project ‘Reworn Stories’ is a publication and brand which showcases the untold connections, memories and stories behind worn clothes to change perceptions around pre-loved items. In a world where new is often perceived as better, Reworn Stories embraces the past and encourages you to appreciate pre-loved clothes as a way to carry on the legacy of the clothes we inherit. I take inspiration from the unique stories I document.
With the hugely negative effect that the fashion industry is currently having on the climate crisis, a fundamental shift in consumer mindset is needed to combat overconsumption and bridge the say-do gap. My project Reworn Stories aims to provide a more human-centric approach to sustainability by utilising the stories behind the clothes people wear, offering a more emotional outlook on fashion and the beginning towards a more sustainable mindset.
DETAIL
Each clothing item documented in my project is as unique as the stories attached to it, so finding a way to effectively communicate these were essential in order for the stories to resonate with the audience. A range of mixed media was used within my project to ensure the different clothing stories were communicated effectively, combining fashion photography, collaging, film interviews and print media to create visually compelling narratives.
