INSPIRATION

Heritage and culture

The final major project was inspired by Moesha's passion for everything pro black. This passion sparked interest in her own unique lineage. After she research her grandparents past in Jamaica, she felt inspired by their way of life. She was amazed at Jamaica's influence on modern Great Britain and knew this was the project for her. Moesha dedicated the majority of her third year work to celebrating black history and culture and her FMP was no exception.

DETAIL

An introduction

The idea of becoming a footwear designer wasn't something that I believed I could do. Growing up, my parents pushed the notion of being a academic and to strive for a more "realisable" job. On the other hand, this didn't suit me. Since I can remember I have always been a creative person and it was during my degree that I excelled and adapted new skills that will carry me to my desired career as a footwear designer.
