About Me
Mia Edmond, a Fashion Art Direction Graduate from Manchester.
Inspired by the need and must to adapt throughout the past year. The ever-increasing possibility that life will resume to ‘normality’ has inspired my most recent project of "All Work and No Play."
The aim throughout this project is to offer a positive and uplifting notion in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Focussing on the light at the end of the tunnel, the positivity that will arise from this changing landscape and how we have progressed in terms of reforming relationships, the return of social events and a sense of irony that blurs the lines between what has been and what is to come.
INSPIRATION
Initially inspired by the need to adapt, since spending so much time at home.
Since the UK went into a national lockdown in March 2020, we have been confined to our homes. The article “People are working longer hours during the pandemic” states that the average working day increased by 30 minutes and daily commutes were replaced by endless emails and video meetings.
Born out of this idea, it comes as no surprise that we have all experienced an uplift in procrastination which presents the idea behind the title of my project “All Work and No Play” This combined with the announcement of the roadmap between April and June gives key dates for us all to look forward to and provides the positive influence for my project.

Working with teams of Emerging Female Talent.
Collaborating with Female Talent is a big part of my practise, from Fashion Designers, Stylists, Makeup Artists, to Models. Not only is it more fun working with such great talent but, you can reach greater depths, learn from each other, and see your ideas from other perspectives. It is also an attempt to combat the unequal representation of women within the female industry.
I am keen to hit the ground running within the Fashion Industry especially Photography, and Art Direction.
