About Me

HI, I'M LUDOVICA A GRADUATE FROM ISTITUTO MARANGONI MILANO

I’ve always been creative since I was a child and I’ve always had the passion for drawing and fashion, as well. My main qualities are precision and determination, I love carrying out each project of mine with meticulous attention to details, with accurate research and with passion. I would define my style as clean, comunicative and delicate.

Fashion is a form of art that can be wearable. I like describing my projects as a portrait of myself, but they can easily become a portrait of the wearer. My way of creating new aesthetics consists in drawing inspiration from apparently opposite worlds, mixing them and creating garments which describe women’s hybrid soul: sophisticated, bold and in the meantime “accurate”. Get noticed by remaining silent.

INSPIRATION

SOFTENED SKIN

My collection begins with describing a world made of contrasts Skinhead, they are represented as individuals who were dangerous for the society and they are alternatives compared to the mainstream culture. I would like to continue analyzing, in a sort of way by “humanizing”, their culture with Tomaso Binga focusing on his feminism of active poetess. This is how garments are born that want to get noticed, but not too much, and at the same time drawing on the minimalism of the 1990s.

Geometric prints inspired by 70s-wallpapers realized in soft fabrics tend to lighten and to feminize over volumes, which are sometimes masculine. Moreover, this can be possible also thanks to tactile sensations and check prints with soft and pastel colors. Tomaso Binga represent the difficulty of the woman to express herself freely. From here come volumetric silhouettes and folds, which are mixed with clean and straight lines and soft colors.

MY WORK

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

The contrast between "rude" and refined.

Now I pay attention to Binga’s creations, who plastered the walls of the rooms with papers, on which are hand-traced graphic designs and they fill the entire space, or small and duplicated prints to form patterns. The latter inspire in my collection material manipulations handmade, made with raw cotton cord, which highlights again contrast between "rude" and refined, given also by the way of use of the workmanship, applied on very over shirts, vests and typical Skin culture garments.
