About Me

Hi, I am a Fashion Design graduate from Norwich University of the Arts

The designer has used her childhood fascination with crystals to embody her final major project, to remember her late grandparents whom they shared this common interest with.

The project is not only crystals and geodes: the designer has researched ways to be able to create a perfect structure to grow these self-grown crystals to entrap the garments in the present time. These structures are made from steel and boning to resemble crystalline forms.

INSPIRATION

The project Crystallography is taking you into a world of crystalline forms and geodes.

This project started off by looking at Tyler Thrasher's crystallised snakes and cicadas which inspired the idea to use natural embellishing on garments. This search for the perfect process led me to design crystalline structures to create from fabrics, to then use the self-growing embellishing on.

The collection is taking inspiration from beliefs of crystals as well as from history of these gems. People have always been fascinated by these precious stones from the ancient times. Healing is commonly associated with crystals as well as good fortune and health. I wanted to capture both the beauty and mystery behind these stones.

MY WORK

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

The structures have been inspired by crystalline structures and geodes.

The structures have been initially designed to create a shape which then will be covered in natural embellishing.

Challenge is the only path that leads to growth
