About Me

Hi I’m Kate, a Fashion Communication and Promotion student from NUA

I am a creative communicator specialising in Fashion Marketing and Brand Strategy. My practice focusses on brand improvement, innovative campaigns, conscious solutions and exploring how brands can utilise their platforms to stand out.

For my final major project I conducted a 360Âş rebrand of the high-street store Monsoon. The project covered all aspects of the brand including their ethos and values, social and marketing strategies, store design and creating strong branding and assets. This project allowed me to not only showcase my knowledge of marketing and strategy but also created the opportunity to demonstrate my creative design skills, displaying my additional interests of branding and merchandising.

INSPIRATION

I draw inspiration from the demand of today’s modern consumer to create effective campaigns.

For my dissertation I studied the decline of the high-street and the demand of the modern consumer. During this research I gained valuable knowledge of customer demand and have been able to apply this knowledge into my projects. I am particularly interested in finding ways to harmonise physical and digital retail; My final major project demonstrates how I have introduced digital aspects into physical retail and explored how the two can coincide to enhance the consumer experience.

Additionally, I am passionate about finding sustainable solutions and am inspired brands such as Stella McCartney who work diligently to continue to innovate in this area. Within my projects I have explored materials such as Piñatex and seed paper to find more ethical and sustainable alternatives within my work.

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

Rebranding the style of imagery was an impactful part of my rebrand project

I conducted a photoshoot to launch Monsoons new style of imagery in a Spring/Summer campaign. The photoshoot completed the refreshed brand identity, providing a polished finish to all assets. The imagery could then also be used for marketing material and social content to provide examples of the strategies I have laid out for the brand.

My goal is to continue to create innovative campaigns and concepts, using my specialist knowledge for brand promotion and improvement.
