Thankful to my eyes.
Growing up in an artistic environment, I have been able since i was young to sharpen my eye to aesthetic, colors, shapes and to beauty. Now, I can say that my eyes are my most precious tool. It is my primary source of creativity. Thanks to my eyes I can analyse each detail when I am walking but also every shades of a range while I gaze on a painting. My eyes also help me to detect imperfections when I am creating a piece of clothing.
INSPIRATION
In a super controlled world a man is divided between the image of himself that he’s sending to others and what he really is. He is changing the side of his jacket, each side reflects what he wants to show of himself.
It is the starting point of my end of year collection. In order for this man to blend in I specifically worked on digital printings to recreate a set of camouflage for each of my looks. I will simply add that 90’s suburbs impacted very strongly my work and especially the cuts of each of my pieces of clothing.
DETAIL
I was torn between two personalities that I wanted to express in front of the subject of the remote monitoring, it is besides for that that my concept is defined by the reversibility. The smooth side to better camouflage in these huge metropolises and go unnoticed by the many cameras is opposed with the blurred, pixelated, distorted and colored prints that allow to show our true image, our real personality. I go against this forced homogeneity of individuals in the same society. Through my prints, I want each individual to find himself, to reform himself, with his universe, his colors, his ideas, his character.
