My work is a platform of different medias that I try to bring in into my garments and within this I also have other artist involved as I find my local community in Preston very important and to try and collaborate with them where I can.
In my love of fashion I also engage with photography, videography, my own artwork and creating my own exhibitions. Combining these elements together in my fashion creating an all round connection. I find every aspect important to myself and to properly communicate to my audience.
INSPIRATION
As I’ve grown up with ASD I’ve found basic life hard. I would think differently than others. From this unique perspective it’s given me the capability to see the natural beauty in anything. I use my individual viewpoint in all my work as I can’t explain what I’m seeing or feeling. Instead showing what I’m seeing as I struggle to express through words alone.
From concept to realisation to final conclusion, I know every detail of my garments. I’m persistent in achieving my own self expectations. I can also invasion helping communities through collaborative creative projects. I have seen how valuable community is. Using my brand Templar to collaborate with other creative to help each other build a creative space.
DETAIL
The reason why I’ve heavily focus ed on colour and fit is how I react with them, I can find certain tones too overwhelming as the colour can sometimes be fiscally hurt to look at too long. For the shape I usually manipulate my body size and use it to almost hide in as I can feel uncomfortable wearing something slim, I prefer the shapes I create and that I can hide in my clothes so I’ve put all this into focus on this collection ‘my world'.
