About Me

I'M IZZY - A GRADUATE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF BRIGHTON

Izzy Wells is a 22-year-old fashion and lifestyle illustrator and creative individual who thrives on artistic expression. Izzy also works in specialisms such as Graphic Design, Photography, Animation and Editorial Design.

I have created a 100+ page magazine called Deep Dive for my Final Major Project. Deep Dive is a visual magazine dedicated to exploring the blurred line between self-expression and self-acceptance through illustration and photography. I aim to be an Aesthete, seeking the importance of unconditionally loving our true identity. The pages challenge perfection and create an aura in the one-dimensional models in the media.

INSPIRATION

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN INSPIRED BY FRIDA'S STRENGTH AND REBELLION TO BREAK CONVENTIONAL BEAUTY NORMS.

Through journal and exhibition research, it was stated several times why no one is like her now. I want to question this: WHY is there no one like her now? What has modern society done to us and why are we so scared to break out of the norms? This is my biggest inspiration – to seek out people that are reflecting this strength and rebellion through creative outlets and this led to Deep Dive Magazine.

In my final year, I explored fashion illustration as well as editorial work. I decided to create a magazine all on my own, from Art Direction, Photography, Styling, Illustration, Graphic Design and Calligraphy. I have also explored Animation and VR Filter technology.
