I was inspired by a car accident for this collection and the sculptures made by John Chamberlain. John recycles car materials to make his work and encourages a strong message of reengineering.
My message is: The difficulties encountered in life are like a car accident and how do you face it when difficulties come. In production, I use car waste materials to make the overall collection more in line with the theme and achieve the purpose of sustainable earth resources.
INSPIRATION
I like vintage cars very much and when I was thinking of what kind of theme to connect with "cars", I thought of the sculptures of sculptor John Chamberlain. His work inspired me to use "car accident”as the theme, and the twisted shape formed by the impact of the car's surface during a car accident was used as the design concept for the collection. The large-scale sculpture created by deconstruction art has an improvised and disordered structure and a distorted and stacked shape.
The secondary one was earths resourceful recycling loop. In this era of high elimination rate, people always like new things more than old ones, We are looking for the most novel things, even "cars."For the "car accident" uses a lot of car waste material to render the impact of the body of the car. I collect many second-hand auto parts to make clothes, the reorganisation of the car parts, give them a new look and function.Recycle old parts for reuse to achieve the effect of resource reuse.
DETAIL
Using car waste materials to make accessories and decorations, choose fabrics that are similar to the surface of the car,and spray paint to increase the sense of scrap iron.Use car airbag cloth to make trousers and integrate car parts into clothing so that clothes are no longer just clothes, but make them look like a crashed car.
