About Me
I'm Harley, a Fashion graduate from Norwich University of the Arts
My concept is inspired by my Welsh heritage and experience of growing up in rural Wales.
My collection concept is taking huge influence from the Celtic history of Wales and the contour lines of the county, in conjunction with the agricultural farming prominence in Pembrokeshire.
INSPIRATION
My initial inspiration came from a childhood trip to Castell Henllys, an Iron Age Village.
From a young age I was very aware of the Celtic influence on Pembrokeshire through attending educational visits to Celtic burial grounds, Celtic symbolism is still seen everywhere in current times. I focussed my core inspiration from the markings of woad that they famously wore painted on their naked bodies when going into battle.
The agricultural farming aspect of Pembrokeshire also inspired my collection, with it being the main back bone of the economy in Wales. Referencing farm attire, utility features and contour lines of the county.
