About Me

hi, I'm a fashion branding and creative communication graduate

My work ideologies focus on current global issues that have been embedded within our social construct, in which I tailor my projects with the hope and target to help solve these problems and bring awareness to the severity of some of the systematic issues we are facing today within the fashion industry. I’m a forward thinker and an optimist.

We are in a time of change, I want to be a part of this change and reinforce the principles that will pave the way for a healthier and happier future for our fashion industry. With this in mind, I present my final project brief “Made By You”. The preservation of craft and the beauty of the creative process, working with artisans and craftspeople to collaborate and develop beautifully made craft boxes, linking customer to artisan. Community, appreciation and transparency are my main priorities when I approach a brief. I hope to bring some positivity but also realness through my creative outcome

INSPIRATION

My inspiration was drawn from a want to preserve craft and appreciation for the creative process

Fashion has a problem of waste, disposability and speed, my project sets out to address this. Offering an antidote to today’s lack of appreciation of manufactured goods by bringing craft back into fashion. Linking the artisan to the consumer, Made By You, celebrates the creation of ethically-aware, socially-responsible products. Our craft box, contains all the elements needed to produce an original garment. Devised and developed through collaborations with artisans. Our collaborative designs incorporate;

sustainable & ethical practices. As the recipient of the box creates this piece they gain a sense of achievement, pride and appreciation of the time and effort that goes into the crafting of fashion. As they become part of our crafting community the passive consumer becomes an active participant in ‘making the difference’. Addressing a gap in the market by linking professional artisans, to our clients. We aim to reinforce the importance of participation and preservation of craftsmanship in fashion.

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

Behind the scenes of campaign between Made By You x Dolce Far Niente. Directed by me.

As part of my collaborations, creative direction was a key skill used throughout. Creating a balance of representation of both Made By You and collaborating brand was imperative. Finding ways to portray the right messaging gave me the chance to express and tailor the photoshoot to depict this in the best way possible and enhance the brand’s ideologies through the production of photo essays. The creative output of Made By You needed to produce a beautifully crafted campaign that aligns with the manifesto of ‘making the difference’. Through our photoshoots, this was an important part of this process and fulfilling the necessary needs to promote the brand’s character and potential within this market. The video itself also is an opportunity for our consumers to again be a part of the journey. Transparency from advertising to the product itself is a valued asset in this current climate. It invites the customer to join a community and enhance a brand experience that they would want to continue coming back to.

Make the difference.
