About Me

I’m Hafsa and I am a Textile Designer with a new outlook on Fashion.

The British Muslim is an incredibly versatile individual, breaking stereotypes and fighting for their ultimate higher purpose. I am proud to be a British Muslim among 3,372,966 others in The United Kingdom. In combination with my passion for Textile Printing, I have created a collection that represents Islam in an art form.

My collection is more than just a physical representation of Islam, it is a voice given to all the women who still want to feel fashionable and part of the fashion community without having to showcase their skin or figure shape. I want to show my perspective of fashion for how versatile it truly is.

INSPIRATION

“And He is with you; wherever you are” [Quran 57:4].

My initial inspiration behind this concept stemmed from the heartbreaking bombing in 2021 inside Masjid Al Aqsa, one of three beloved homes of prayer to Muslims all around the world. I remember seeing the news spread and the pain it caused me, knowing that these terror attacks are still happening now with no appropriate media coverage. A truly shattering experience, I struggle to epitomise the feeling upon seeing the destruction of the mosque.

DETAIL

My FMP is a collection that embodies what I would like to see more of within the Fashion.

Modest clothing is slowly beginning to emerge more and more in fashion but there is still a long way to go. My FMP showcases luxury modest clothing, a market that is for all women.

A voice for every woman who desires to feel fashionable, regardless of what background they come from. Fashion is for everyone.
