About Me

HEY, I'M GEORGE PAPHITI, A GRADUATE FROM UNIVERSITY OF BRIGHTON

An individual trying to build for themselves and aspiring to change the world combining Fashion, Art and the creativity of transforming personal experiences and pleasures to both paper and the digital. There is beauty in the world that should always be appreciated and it will be when we treat each other with kindness.

Fake Orgasm magazine is a digital magazine that was created during the COVID-19 restrictions (lock-down) to experiment and show that creativity is one of the things that will always keep the humanity alive where people travel with it to fantasy worlds different each time, different each artist.

INSPIRATION

"Life Imitates Art"

Fake Orgasm magazine is a digital magazine that was created to experiment creatively and transcend reality. The magazine is a visual research of art and the act of imitation. While, exploring the surreal and fetish in a deeper level and becoming fashion, illustration and representation of fluid - gender - less fashion. Making this magazine I explored multiple ideas and references,it is a virtual trip into desire and unexplored pleasure without judgement.

I have also learned and understood new skills and became even more distressed of the environment during my research for my project. Therefore it was another reason to keep the magazine into a digital form and use sustainable materials. In addition, the clothing for the styling are repurposed, second-hand bought and/or preowned to reduce the industry's waste and the environmental pollution.

MY WORK

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

FROM THE EDITORIALS I FOUND INSPIRATION TO CREATE ILLUSTRATIONS THAT ALTER REALITY.

Therefore, with every editorial I used prints of the images and created collages that represented individually their aesthetic. The inspiration was found on anything be it art movements, colour, fashion, life. It circles back to the inspiration of imitating art and creating surreal visuals that make you trip into a virtual fantasy.

“We cannot perceive with sense perception the depths that are not extended in the sense world.” Hillman. From the book The Philosophers’ Secret Fire : A History of the Imagination by Patrick Harpur.
