HI, I’M A FASHION BRANDING AND COMMUNICATION GRADUATE

An ambitious individual that is looking to make a mark in the world through fashion styling and creative direction. Longing for the opportunity to dive deeper into the creative direction realm - to assist in creating beautiful visual stories.

I am very passionate about visual storytelling and the impact it may have on ones mental state - constantly seeking to challenge myself to create thought provoking narratives through visuals , whilst staying routed within black culture and the music realm.

INSPIRATION

12 MONTHS OF LOCKDOWN - 12 SONGS. THE VISUAL STORY.

Lockdown has been hard for many of us - made most of us feel powerless, swimming in pools of depression with the uncertain notion of how the days were going to pan out and here we are over 12 months later - still proceeding with the same thoughts. However even during unprecedented times - the majority including myself , found hope and comfort in music. Which lead to me wanting to centre my independent final project around linking music with conceptualised imagery - a project titled ‘ FOR THE BOOKS ‘.

So it can be said that my inspiration derived from the state of the world , the feelings rushing through my head , watching the world socially disconnect and seeing how different people were coping during the unprecedented times. In further support research showed that some individuals established coping mechanisms in honing down new hobbies. But on the flip side - others had their mental state plummet , as they were forced to be confined in their own homes - for over 12 months.

Promotional campaign

A promotional campaign centred around using marketing tools such as PR packages. These PR packages will be sent to music enthusiasts - to help generate a buzz before the coffee table book goes live on the official website. The PR package will consist of the following items: the ‘FOR THE BOOKS’ coffee table book , tote bag (which will also be sold separately on the official site) , hand sanitiser , Spotify gift cards and a ‘FOR THE BOOKS’ face mask. This PR package promotion will allow for honest reviews to be generated - in addition to helping the team gage how receptive the book may be.
