About Me

HI, I´M FILLO A FASHION GRADUATE STUDENT FROM PFORZHEIM UNIVERSITY

Everything you wear and everything you use is communication. Everyone communicates. - whether you like it or not. You always express yourself - consciously or unconsciously. You can not not communicate. And it is very appealing to me to be a part of that communication and help people expressing themselves - as I express myself.

In my work I like to use different materials and different media and put them together - like a collage. Maybe it comes from my Graphic Design background where I already used different media to put together as one. For me it´s always about the composition, the big picture how everything gets together so it becomes a wholesome piece, an holistic art work. It does not end with fashion, but goes far beyond it.

INSPIRATION

Black or white T-shirt? Coffe or tea? Bachelor‘s degree and then work or still a master‘s degree?

I have always found it extremely difficult to make decisions. In recent years, however, I have increasingly noticed that I am by no means alone in my decision-making weakness. Not only in my circle of friends, but also outside of it, I have met people who often find even the most trivial decisions very difficult.

The fact that decisions can also become too much for the individual has been recognized in society, but the solution does not seem to have been found, despite the mass of guidebooks. The only thing that is certain is that decision-making is a lifelong process with which we are confronted every day. This is exactly where the collection OR THAT ? comes in. It is an examination of this process of decision-making and shows it to us.

DETAIL

I CREATED THE FRAMEWORK CONDITIONS AND MADE THE DECISIONS BY ROLLING THE DICE - AS JOHN CAGE DID

OR THAT? is an examination of this process of decision-making and shows it to us. But the goal was not to develop a collection or to represent decisions in the form of a collection. It was much more about the decision-making itself. About the decision-making process. And to become aware of how, when and what we decide when we decide. So the resulting collection is a snapshot of a process that can continue indefinitely. Inspired by John Cage's way of working in his Ryoanji drawings, a method was developed for this process, in which the focus is on the questions asked correctly instead of the answers, and which provides guidance for decisions. This method, the concept is, "I create the framework and let it be decided by a roll of the dice."

I can because I want what I have to. - Immanuel Kant
