About Me

Hi, I’m Fazela a Fashion PR Graduate from LDN

Fazela was inspired by Generation Z and the London culture scene. Exploring self-identity, culture, diversity, and life after the pandemic for young people - she created a podcast platform called You Get Me to explore this.

My message is: I wanted to create a space for us young people to be heard especially after the COVID-19. Generation Z are the future, and we need to speak about topics that reflect the now. I also wanted to express more about my story, being a young British South Asian and fulfilled that small gap in the market within the podcast industry. As there is lack of female South Asian podcasters from London. My city is full of diversity, culture, and untold stories.

INSPIRATION

My initial idea started from love for London, being an extrovert and my friends

You see I was born and bred in London town and there so much beauty and culture within this city. I am constantly learning new things about this place every day. London is known for its multiculturism, diversity, opportunities, and fashion. You can be whoever you want to be here and do whatever you want to. This city contains the coolest creatives of Gen-zers. So it made sense for me to base my FMP around young people, London and culture. There is endless things to talk about.

My personality is very outgoing and confident. I have always wanted to a start a podcast after seeing many of my friends start do it. So, it just made sense for me to do one as well. This was a great outlet for me as I can discuss topics I’ve always kept in my head and network with other creatives and young people to deliver unspoken topics. Just to connect and create a space for the lost and confused.

DETAIL

I used young people I knew and my friends

To create this platform and podcast I contacted my friends and other creatives I had met online for this project. I also collaborated with other creatives to help create the artwork and some others part of this project. I spent weeks learning how to really podcast, to edit and how to distribute. I mastered the art of podcasting. Call me a podcast queen.
