About Me

Hi, I'm Emma, a graduate from Istituto Marangoni Milano

She has always had a great passion for drawing and illustrations and her aim is communicating through her works positive values, like sustainability, strength and openness to diversity.

My message is to respect and include each person in his strengths and weaknesses and to celebrate all form of love. I strongly believes that beauty and creativity may be the keys for a fairer and more inclusive world.

INSPIRATION

What does romantic mean in the modern society?

Through this creative process i'm looking for a world inhabited by marvelous characters who are not afraid to express and be themselves because they feel to be loved and accepted. I focused on the theme of the different, inspired by the metamorphosis, the hybridization of different worlds and the regained balance between human and animal.

The inspirations for the choice of shapes have been Björk and Lauren Serussi. The whole project has been faced using a childish esthetic; the iconic items are emphasized with exaggerated details and unusual, often ironic shapes. The chosen fabrics are simple, comfortable and cool, mostly in cotton, and color palette is composed of soft and natural tones

MY WORK

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

I used the collage technique to create new shapes and characters

My clothes are designed by the mix and match of different fabrics to express the idea that we are all unique pieces: each person with his strengths and weaknesses is actually a work of art. The clothes are also changeable and interchangeable, trough different way to wear and combine them; using the different fastenings, closures and openings, the individual can change the shapes, free to express himself freely and letting his own creativity flow and shine.

E tu, lenta ginestra, che di selve odorate queste campagne dispogliate adorni, anche tu presto alla crudeltĂ  possanza soccomberai del sotterraneo foco
