Hi I'm Emily a Fashion Design & Marketing Graduate from Northumbria

Menswear and gender-neutral designer specialising in fashion print.

A keen focus on design that provides the consumer with confidence, a style with no boundaries. Creating a new attitude to dressing.

INSPIRATION

The capacity of a person or group of people to act independently and to make their own free choices.

My final year menswear brand Agency is founded upon community and design. It lives to empower and enrich the inner creatives. Agency always strives for individuality, echoed in the meaning behind the brand name. From its bold prints seen throughout collections, Agency creates staple statement pieces to celebrate and inspire its consumer. Providing a space to allow all to discover, connect and express themselves.

"Sherpa" originally taken from the word sharpa, meaning people from the East, have inhabited the highest regions for thousands of years. My final year concept Namche brings together the essence of hardman ship and daringness seen in the Nepalese Sherpa community. From first-hand photography taken by my parents from an expedition to Annapurna base camp deep in the Himalayas, I have paid homage to the Sherpa's unique mountain culture. From layered silhouettes to my bold prints, I mark the narrative.

Combining digital with traditional screen-printing craftsmanship

Print forms the basis of the garments, my silhouettes take on a relaxed simple approach allowing my prints space. Through combining digital and traditional screen printing I creatively build and bring together my narrative as well as adding depth to the print and garment.
