About Me
Hi, I'm Eliza, a Fashion Photography Graduate from Solent University
I am a Fashion Photography Graduate based in the South of Hampshire. I have always had a passion for taking photos and my experience in fashion retail gave me the knowledge to pursue fashion photography at a degree level. I specialise in high quality skin retouching and social media management.
Whilst being at University, I have gained strong interests in Social Media due to creating and running Soton Models. Soton Models is a student run digital modelling agency created to provide models for art students, such as myself and other creatives. I found this to be extremely successful with the students, which led me to winning the Exceptional Extracurricular Award at the Solent Student Union Awards.
INSPIRATION
My initial inspiration came from exploring and searching on Youtube.
During College, I completed a unit surrounding Fashion Photography. I did not have much knowledge in the subject prior to this brief however, I was eager to learn. I began searching on YouTube for fashion photographers to gain tips and tricks. I stumbled upon Jessica Kobeissi’s YouTube channel and began watching all her videos. I quickly realised my love for her post production style and skin retouching skills.
To this day, I still am inspired by her work. She taught me, you don’t need to shoot with a large team or extravagant studio spaces. Using natural lighting can still create stunning, soft, beautiful images and having just you and the model on set can give the shoot a personal and comfortable feeling. I still continue to bring influences of her photographic style when completing my own projects and I still consider her to be one of my biggest inspirations.
