HI, I'M ELENA A GRADUATE FROM ISTITUTO MODARTECH
My name is Elena, I am 22 years old and am about to conclude the undergraduate degree in Fashion Design. I am determined and ambitious, in order to increase my personal and cultural background.
The creation of my "Resiliens" collection was inspired by a family condition that changed my life. At the base we find the concept of resilience told through silhouettes and fabrics. For this reason I have chosen to use materials that reduce air pollution as much as possible, such as recycled polyester, eco-leather derived from the recycling of plastics and natural fabrics such as silk and cotton.
INSPIRATION
RESILIENS WAS BORN FROM A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.
“RESILIENS” is a collection that comes from the etymology of the word RESILIENCE, that is the ability of man to know how to resist but above all to react to ADVERSITIES. I started from this concept because it reflects a delicate situation that my family has found and still faces today. The message I want to bring out is one of POSITIVITY and not of pain because every event has an intrinsic positivity, just grasp it and for us so it was .
I chose to represent ADVERSITIES with voluminous structures as if they were a boulder looming on the person, while STRENGTH is given by the use of eco-leather and REBIRTH is symbolized by ephemeral and fluid fabrics. The colors used focus on soft tones such as lilac and cerulean and classic and timeless tones such as black and white. Furthermore, I have chosen to place the SCARAB in golden tones, embroidery and jewels, as a representative symbol of resilience and and luck.

CRAFTSMANSHIP
The collection enhances the CRAFTSMANSHIP and the attention to detail, values that we find in the embroideries of the scarabs made with golden beads and gold laminated thread, in the embroidered phrases representative of the concept and in the complementary jewels of the outfits. I chose the inclusion of manual work to give new life to the traditions and the beauty of the unique and unrepeatable piece, values that today are being lost.
