About Me
Hi, I'm Donika, a fashion comms graduate from De Montfort University
Donika Prelvukaj is of Albanian heritage and specialises in fashion photography and art direction.
Doing Fashion Design at college and art and design in foundation prepared me for my fashion communication and styling at De Montfort. I have been able t incorporate all my creative skills into my work and be able to produce work that I am proud of.
INSPIRATION
The inspiration for my FMP was based on my mental well-being.
With my final major project, I wanted to bring awareness to mental health, making it something beautiful and proud t create. I wanted to show mental health in a more abstract representation and bring life to my work.
Being diagnosed with anxiety and depression, I find it hard to be motivated to be creative sometimes, however, starting this project I wanted to challenge and learn more about myself through my work. I had the opportunity t collaborate with designers and other students who also have their own diagnoses and I've learned that a lot of us are struggling with something but it doesn't have to define us.

Bringing awareness of mental health in a positive way.
I listened to the designers and what the wanted their message to show from their garment and create a concept that represented what they struggle with and make it something powerful and meaningful. Bringing awareness of what others are going through even just a little.
