About Me

I’m a graduate of the British Higher School of Art and Design Moscow

Recently graduated with a BA(Hons) in Fashion Design. I have always been inspired by new discoveries that people make in the art world. By focusing on good changes that people make, I can attract other people to various other problems that exist in our world and try to push them for the better.

I want to produce work that will combine modernity and references to the past. A positive attitude in my work and my instinct for trends will help to capture the general mood in the world and create new designs in a more sustainable way.

INSPIRATION

My inspiration came from the pressing issue of the conflict between generations.

It seemed interesting to consider the conflict of generations through the prism of architecture, which is directly related to the conflict between the old and the new, as it turned out. My research includes the history of the Narkomfin, a House-ship in Moscow, which was built in the 30s. The architect was inspired by French architecture. For a long time this house was in a terrible state, but thanks to the chief architect, it was restored according to the original drawing and notes.

My research also involves other collisions of old and new: A project by a student from Marsh where the student had to create a new life for the old building. And a group of young architects from Russia in the 60s who wanted to change the Soviet buildings of Khrushchev. All these ideas were based on the House-ships by the same architect from France. Through these comparisons, we can see that regardless of age, we need to remember that we can also have a lot to connect with our parents and grandparents.

DETAIL

I believe that sustainable clothes can be fun!

I was also inspired by the way people care about their heritage, how much all of these architects want to save memory about buildings, and how they want to bring something new at the same time. The usage of clothes, tablecloths, and curtains from second-hand shops gave a new breath to my work. By giving them a new life, I am not only supporting my concept but also bringing a zero-waste principle.

This collection allowed me to understand that I want to create and produce more sustainable clothes with beautiful and deep concept
