I have always loved making and telling stories, and creative direction has allowed me to push the limits with this. For me, fashion has always been a tool that I’ve used to visually express how I’m feeling, which is why I think it’s so powerful to be able to document these moments and share them with other people.
When looking through my work, I want the reader to look twice; to feel intrigued yet slightly confused. I’m constantly drawing inspiration from all around me and using this to create a multitude of contrasts within my work, producing innovative and fresh imagery in such a saturated area.
INSPIRATION
For my Final Major Project I created a magazine called Creature, which was a metaphor for humans. Creature was created as a space that individuals felt that they could escape to. The editorials were all about using different medias and methods to manipulate the body’s silhouette to fabricate a variety of perspectives.
As a creative I am constantly trying to find new methods to showcase my ideas. Throughout this project I have experimented with styling, photography, makeup, animation, and graphics to bring my ideas to life. The project explores the bodies of the models, and how different structures can be created. I love drawing inspiration from different shapes, and how this can be animated through the human body to tell a story through visuals and attract an audience.
