About Me
HI, IM CHI YU A GRADUATE FROM BEIJING INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY.
Chi Yu's undergraduate major is clothing and costume design (Sports direction). I attach great importance to the functional and fashionable collocation of sportswear, and I am committed to developing this concept better. It is always the starting point of my design to integrate the emotion and spirit of sports into people's lifestyle.
I hope my design is based on people and enriches people's life. The theme of 2021 is the post epidemic era, and my inspiration comes from it. The message I want to convey is that clothing, society and people interact with each other. Clothing should not only be used in a single occasion, but meet people's various clothing needs. The so-called "wear more than one garment" is the need for clothing with variability, versatility and environmental protection. We should fully consider the current conditions of the natural environment, and lead people to a new and better way of life through clothing.
INSPIRATION
LINER RELATIONSHIP
Man is the sum of social relations. Due to the epidemic, the way of social communication between people has gradually changed to online communication and sharing. Everyone's connection is just the two ends of the Internet line, just like the commute life of two front lines in the real world, and each other becomes cold and strange. This design aims to enhance people's feelings in the real world and enhance the connection and cohesion between people after the epidemic.
I hope that clothing can enhance each other's feelings, from which I extract lines as design elements according to the two-point and one-line form of network cable connection and commuting. The possibility of line transformation will be diversified and applied to their own design. With quilting and winding shape to show. The functional elements of sportswear are combined with business clothing, and clothing is applied to more occasions and wearing methods, forming a trend of sports commuting wear mode.

FUNCTIONAL SPORTS COMMUTE FASHION
I use Quilted Cotton Filled fabric and waterproof windbreaker fabric for splicing. They not only have different texture, but also have different function points (waterproof and warm performance respectively). Quilted Cotton elements are used in some three-dimensional modeling, playing a decorative role. At the same time, they can also be used as blankets when working. In terms of pattern, this series of clothing will weaken the close fitting tailoring of professional sports events, retain the flexible stretch pattern and fabric, and form a concise commuting wear mode. Minimalism and technological protection complement each other. All details are practical functions, close to daily outdoor life. There is no contradiction between escaping from life and getting close to life. The core requirement of design output is to switch freely from commuting to travel, home, fitness and other occasions. The design details such as adjustability and modularity are the key points.
