I am a Bournemouth-based digital artist and graphic designer. With a passion for both artistic expression and visual communication, I have dedicated my skills and creativity to the world of digital art and graphic design. I thrive on utilising digital tools and techniques to bring ideas to life, creating visually captivating designs that engage and inspire.
With an original background in textiles and design, I have used my knowledge to evolve my digital skills throughout university. A key theme in my work is video games, having played them from an early age and recognising the inequality in the gaming industry I want to do my part to change that. This portfolio showcases my Final Major Project, inspired by the lack of interesting fashion in customisable video games.
INSPIRATION
As an avid gamer and player of The Sims 4, I found myself dissatisfied with the limited fashion options available within the game. This sparked a desire to create a more diverse and inclusive virtual fashion experience. By combining my love for fashion and gaming, I embarked on a mission to revolutionise the virtual fashion landscape, empowering players to experiment with new styles, embrace individuality, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
The inspiration for this project also came from the desire to bridge the gap between luxury fashion and accessibility. Recognising that many players of The Sims 4 may have a keen interest in high-end fashion but lack the finances to indulge in such luxury, I sought to create a safe space where they could experiment with luxury fashion without the financial commitment. This project aims to empower individuals to explore their unique sense of style, self-expression, and confidence in their fashion choices.
DETAIL
This project focussed on the AW22 Vivienne Westwood collection, recreating it in The Sims 4 so that anyone of any age or economic background can experience luxury fashion. This project allows for the possibility of future projects, recreating any designer collection in the game. This project also promotes sustainability through the ability to create micro-trends to be experimented with virtually before real life purchase, interrupting the fast fashion cycle.
