Inspired by her upbringing amongst a male dominated military family, she draws from her own experiences growing up facing “toxic femininity.” In her collection she felt it was important to express that a female identity isn’t exclusive or definitive, changing the mindset of what being female means.
I have a strong personal interest in digital illustration and print design. The idea for my colourful and eclectic prints came about naturally when I was learning about the Riot Grlzzz feminist movement. These women had rejected stereotypes given to them and promoted their own interests through fanzines. I felt a real connection with this movement and thus sparked my print developments. Layering my own Feminist visuals to create a “wearable zine.” Post-graduation I will continue to develop my digital design skills and would love to progress to an industry role that I could utilise this.
INSPIRATION
We are all different, we have different experiences, different interests, everyone’s idea of being “feminine” is different. Our differences should be celebrated instead of socialised. The word “girly” is thrown around a lot, but what does that really mean? It’s an open question that cannot definitively be answered.
-I’m pressing the reset button- Forget all the bullshit toxic female identities, being feminine means being POWERFUL, LOUD, CONFIDENT, ALTERNATIVE, SWEET AND SEXY. RESET: AN INCLUSIVE FEMINIST UTOPIA Taking influence from the Riot Grrrlz movement, Fanzines, Kinder Whore, Military and Toxic Femininity.

In my spare time I enjoy creating time lapse videos of my illustration process to share with my followers on Instagram and TikTok. Sharing my learning process whilst also teaching others my techniques to hopefully inspire my online community to get creative.
