About Me

Hi, Im Caitlin a Fashion Design & Marketing Graduate from Northumbria

Specialising in womenswear and print design, I have found my love for print and colour which has come to life in my work I have produced for my FMP.

Through my 4 years studying Fashion Design and Marketing as well as discovering my own style through design I have focused on sustainability and inclusivity feeding them both into my FMP.

INSPIRATION

Initial inspiration was taken from my love of colour and the 60s era of fashion and art

My FMP brand Remedy was created not only as a fashion brand but also a community, with the ultimate goal to educate consumers on how to live a more circular lifestyle by providing the opportunities and resources to learn and partake, whilst bringing out the confidence in women to feel their best selves. Remedy is a lifestyle, not just a brand.

Remedy's launch collection is a statement of bold, fun and colourful prints on simple silhouette garments that compliment the body. The inspiration for this collection was taken from my love of 60s fashion and exploring into the art movements of opt art and collaging and combining the two together to create bold eye catching prints. I wanted to portray the brands values into my designs with a plus size dress and using left over fabrics for the lining of the jumpsuit and printed fabric to create my bag.

MY WORK

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

Exploring with print and adding puff binder really emphasised the prints

My final pieces work as canvases for my bold and colourful prints. Using puff binder really emphasised the prints added texture to the garments and made them bolder and more enticing.
