About Me

Hi, I'm a Fashion Accessory Design Graduate from Nottingham Trent

Inspired by all things nature and sustainability, with a love for minimalism and craftsmanship.

I focus on durability for sustainability, as even the most sustainably made garment is no longer sustainable if it is quickly discarded or rarely used. I love minimalism and simplistic designs.

INSPIRATION

My initial inspiration came from hard natural forms, and the curves from these natural shapes.

Sustainability being a key starting point for my collection led me to look at natural forms. During this exploration I was drawn to the hard shapes such as shells and exoskeletons. My colour pallet was also inspired by natural soft colours but also mixed with classic colours for a collection that has longevity in design.

Trends also influenced my design, for my collection I didn't want trends to interrupt with classic and simplistic designs however trends play an important role in customer purchasing decisions and so I decided to come up with a collection of attachments. These attachments come in seasonal colours for A/W 21/22 and fit onto all the bags with changeable straps.

Bucket Bag Details

The majority of each bag is made of vegetable tanned leather, this is because this material is more environmentally friendly then chrome tanned leather. The pleats, a running feature throughout my collection, include small amounts of chrome tanned leather which have been visually based off horns and a cross section of a sea urchin.
