About Me

HI, I'M ANGELIKI A FASHION MARKETING GRADUATE FROM UCA EPSOM

Angeliki was inspired by the future warriors, Gen Zs, and their fight towards a better world. She created an empowering upcycling service that aims to minimize waste. Environmental and societal waste.

"Each year we produce billion tons of waste. The environment is ready to collapse unless immediate action is taken. Young people are trying to change the world, transform it into a better place for them to live and for future generations to thrive. Therefore, my vision through the creation of Wasted Fantasy is to transform waste into our fantasy." says Angeliki.

INSPIRATION

MY SOURCE OF INSPIRATION WAS 2020, THE YEAR THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

The pandemic was a retail catastrophe, sales were down and deadstock was up, but brands still launched multiple new collections. Personally, I hate seeing my clothes sitting at the back of my wardrobe and since I had free time during the lockdown, I upcycled them. It was amazing to transform waste into fantasy and be able to give back life to something. So, I wanted to create an upcycling service for sportswear brands to creatively utilize their deadstock products instead of adding up to the scary waste.

On the other hand, 2020, was a cultural wake-up call, we witnessed dreadful events of violence and inequality. Young creators utilizing their skills and talents to express their feelings and opinions, while the rest of Gen Z shared their social and political views online. For me, this was a true inspiration. Young people need empowerment and support to continue their battle instead of society wasting their ideas and opinions. They are the ones that need to be heard, they are the future.

MY WORK

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

I WANTED THE BRANDING TO BE SCARY, LIKE WASTE

Inspired by cartoons, I created a spooky but fun branding to depict the scary waste we produce. Therefore, our logo design hides a spooky and bold persona, while the words add a fun and cool character. The colour palette is set to fit our brand persona; Zombie green provides the feeling of spookiness reminding us of zombies, Not so Baby Purple-Blue feels more calm and reliable, evening out the excitement and boldness of the Zombie Green and Ultimate Black is heavily used to add mystery and sophistication to the branding. Lastly, the imagery used is a combination of illustrations and urban photography creatively edited, aiming to stand out due to creativity and uniqueness.

WASTE IS SCARY, LET'S TRANSFORM OUR WASTE INTO OUR FANTASY. BECAUSE IT'S OUR FUTURE AND OUR FANTASY.
