About Me

I'm Amy, a Fashion Comms Graduate from NUA

I’m a visual communicator specialising in graphic design, art direction, and events. My innovative outlook on the future of consumer experience led me to create an event with a strong focus on immersive technology within brand interactions for my final project.

With interests in sci-fi film, retro futurism and technology, I focus on innovation, escapism and storytelling to engage the modern consumer. I aspire to continue applying this approach throughout my career using my design skills to create promotional content for fashion as well as through art direction for campaigns and events. I would also love to venture into the film industry as a graphic designer for sets and productions.

INSPIRATION

My love for sci-fi film and the utilisation of emerging technology has driven my final project

When looking for design inspiration I have always naturally gravitated towards retro futuristic aesthetics and anything with bold graphics. I’ve carried this with me throughout my final year where I’ve really pushed this style in my own work.

I am particularly enthusiastic about innovation and finding new ways to engage the consumer. My love for astronomy and science alongside my passion for graphic design and fashion has been my inspiration for creating my project ‘Fashion Space Lab’ as it merges sci-fi film, technology and fashion into one platform. This has made me even more passionate about seeing and creating more cross-industry collaboration between STEM and the arts.

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

Fashion Space Lab is an experiential event merging fashion retail, sci-fi film and technology.

By combining the physical and digital, this event aims to trial a more immersive, customised and collaborative shopping experience. 10 fashion brand x sci-fi film collaborations fabricate Fashion Space Lab, each with its own pop up style space. By exploring emerging technologies such as Mixed Reality and utilising the impact sci-fi films have on real-world innovation, this event aims to bring escapism and experimentation into brand to consumer interactions. Ultimately, Fashion Space Lab aims to encourage the use of technology within the fashion industry by giving brands an opportunity to test their innovative spaces and gain valuable consumer insight. The use of sci-fi theming allows for more creativity and immersion within the touchpoints as well as emphasising the futuristic outlook the event has on the fashion industry.
