Amelia wanted to combine her knowledge of content creation and influencer marketing to create an agency for small businesses with powerful or strong messaging behind them.
With the Coronavirus Pandemic still amongst us in 2021, I wanted to use my talents and skills to positively benefit small businesses who have unfortunately had to struggle. The virus has meant thousands of small businesses have had to close their doors or lost out on a significant amount of money. Illume agency predominately aims to work with these small businesses, as a confidence to help get their name out there especially when they are unable to create the content themselves. With the continuous rise of shopping small i gathered there was no better time to utilise this opportunity.
The idea of working with small businesses with powerful messaging originally stemmed from the creation of my own publication; Naked magazine which is surrounding Body Dysmorphia. Creating a publication to help, educate and inform individuals on BDD, touched many, which helped the inspiration for Illume; my content creation agency. The publication carries a strong brand ethos which resonates well with many consumers and lead to successes.
Secondly, from my experience of working on a live brief at GOAT agency, I grew a real passion for influencer marketing and begun to understand how creating well thought out and in depth strategies for clients can help maximise sales, or followers. This is one of the main reasons I incorporated influencer marketing as a separate pillar in the agency, it is also a new and fresh way of marketing, consumers trust influencers over celebrities as they have built a niche around their feeds.
For many of my clients for Illume creative; creating a promotional style video, either promoting the brand or a specific product is an option. As mentioned previously, Illume works with brands with a strong brand ethos behind them, Shanes Jewellz is a client my agency worked with who carries a LGBTQ+ message/inclusivity. This is the final outcome for the promotional video, showing some of the brands earrings, in a creative and unique way whilst really selling the brand as a whole. Rather than showing jewellery in a typical way, I wanted to explore my options and create a video which clearly represents the brand through use of location (colours) as well as styling and models.
