Alice Fraser is an aspiring womenswear fashion designer who specialised in designing a luxury resort wear collection for her final major project. During her three years of study she found her desire to design garments for women that enjoy looking their best while abroad.
During these three years of studying at university I have explored many different styles of design through briefs which have been set, however I found that curating garments which are vibrant in colour and print are what I enjoy the most. With holiday locations in mind, designing is when I become most creative, finding my own method to design.
INSPIRATION
Ties to Kuerdo is a Resort wear collection designed for women, inspired by the immersive beauty of the Maldives. Its quality has remained vividly in my mind and is evoked through photos and objects collected from my 2006 visit. Snorkelling in the ocean, adventuring with family and friends as well as the luxury of the environment, are at the core of the collection. The fluidity of the ocean is reflected through drape ties and wraps and wore by her on her opulent time abroad.

The vibrancy of colour and print, developed from my concept have formed a chic narrative that have been hand curated and worked into high quality textiles, complimented by luxe finishes elevate my contemporary resort wear design.
DETAIL
The design which has become the main feature through my collection started with my wrap trouser. These trousers have taken a key holiday garment, a sarong, and transformed this into a contemporary innovative item of clothing. The drape around the waist is a language which narrates through my entire range.
