About Me
Hi, I'm Alfonso a graduate student from Istituto Marangoni Milano
For his project Alfonso was inspired by the dualism of technology and the subtle border between reality and illusion. His project explores the deep psyche of modern women with a touch of mystery and cynicism.
This collection aims to break down stereotypes that corrupt our society. By highlighting our most spontaneous and natural needs, this project tries to forge a new type of contemporary human free to live his life without holding back. Nothing is for sure, therefore everything can happen.
INSPIRATION
My initial idea started from the famous movie from 1998 "The Truman Show"
During a hot summer night, while zipping trough different channels, I ended up watching "The truman show". Even though I had seen it before, I had never actually paid attention nor understood the movie's more profound meaning and maybe because of the pandemic, maybe because at my age nothing is really clear, I really saw a reflection of our times in a movie that was made over two decades ago.
The way some people manipulate our surroundings to change our perspective is still a very modern issue and through this collection, I want to project people into a new age of freedom where we are the ones to define our own reality.

I took Tony Duquette's famous jewels and mixed them up with flowers and reptile's shapes
As an inspiration for my details i started from 50s jewels mixing them up with more modern elements such as the beautiful headpieces by James T. Merry and Hiris Van Herpen. Wanting to give my manipulation a sense of life and organicity , I went ever further an took inspiration from reptiles' bones and easter dragon sinuous bodies.
