Originally from Leicester, I studied my GCSE and A-Levels at Lutterworth College where I achieved 7 GCSEs, 2 A-Levels and a BTEC, including qualifications in Media, Psychology, and ICT. Growing up, I competed in sports, swimming was my best however the field didn't interest me. At 16 I started to discover artists and different kinds of music.
From this age, I found my passion for art, fashion, music, image, photography, and film. During my A Levels I wasn't sure what it was I wanted to do after College but I kind of knew I wanted to pursue something in art & media but I wasn't sure what. After a few months of thinking and reading issues of Dazed & Confused whilst skimming through Ssense's website, I decided I would study Fashion Promotion at the University of South Wales. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at university, what's it's taught me, more than anything, is that, I'm pursuing the right career.
One of my favourite past time is watching films because not only are they a tool to use to unwind and relax, I also find them productive. When I watch films I feel as though I'm learning something, or going through some kind of an experience, for me, this is a great way to spend my free time. Some of my favourite film makers are, Gaspar Noe, Wes Anderson, David Lynch, Benny & Josh Safdie, Charlie Kaufman, Stanley Kubrick, Robert Eggers, Ari Aster, etc.
I enjoy these creators' work because they are mostly unpredictable in the works they create, the atmospheres they create can be out of the ordinary, chilling, surreal, colourful, exhilarating, and just generally unique. These characteristics appeal to me because I like to be surprised, confused, or in a shroud of mystery, because I like to have a puzzle to solve when I'm relaxing, something to occupy the mind, maybe it's my ADD.
These works took place from 2016-2021
