About Me

Hello! I'm Aina a University of East London graduate.

My name is Aina and I come from Barcelona, Spain. I consider myself a designer who likes transmitting fun and positivity in clothes. I like contrasting elements that have nothing to do with each other together. My work comes from my heart. I express feelings I didn't even know I had before designing. I let my subconscious create, and that is freedom for me.

I once read a sentence that said everyone deserves to sparkle. I want to make people sparkle, and by sparkle I don't only mean glitter, although I love glitter, I want people to feel unique, confident and happy when they where my clothes, I want people to own their lives, and make their lives better just because they feel special with what they wear.

INSPIRATION

The inspiration for Splendid Chaos collection started with the dadaism art movement.

MAKE THE MOST OF WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL AND THE REST, LET IT BE. A collection inspired by Dadaism, kitsch and my clothes. In this journey I feel connected to certain objects, shapes, artwork materials, photography...I aestheticize objects and play with this mixed media to create art in a free and personal method like the Dada artists did, then I combine my art with my silhouettes which are inspired by my clothes which are mainly from the thrift stores and 80s inspired.

DETAIL

I used everyday objects and materials to create my garments.

Planet Earth is a box full of surprises, you never know what is next, there are external factors that alter your life. In my collection I let these external factors influence my art work by collecting mixed media I have, or that I encounter through this journey. Chance and direct action play a very important role in my collection.

MAKE THE MOST OF WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL, AND THE REST LET IT BE.
