I am a future thinking, creative practitioner that loves to challenge norms with ambitious projects that deliver strategic brand narratives and create great experiences through digital media and technology.
In a world where we are constantly being pressured to buy, Serena is an app that shuts out the noise and provides space to slow down, self-reflect and take control of compulsive purchasing and shopping addiction. Taking on the voice of a friend, Serena asks the right questions through mindful guided audio and journaling exercises to open the mind, explore emotions and break the cycle of excessive purchasing. The brand seeks to build a strong community where users can mutually empower and support each through an issue that’s often hidden, misunderstood and alienating.
INSPIRATION
The term "Shopaholic" turns the matter a joke, but in reality, it can be a serious personal and financial issue. Those that find themselves here often lack resources or even someone to relate to. Part influenced by my own personal experience, I created serena to fill that resource gap and provide a considered escapism from constant marketing and temptation to spend. I’ve created a space where people can learn to get to the root cause and gain visibility on how it impacts other areas of their lives.
