About Me

Non-conformist strong creative designer, willing to go far and beyond.

Closely inspired by the social dynamics of the society in which we live in, I have developed my collections in feelings that are very present in humanity, such as: the feeling of freedom, of belonging, of self-love; emphasising the constant struggle one must carry out to know who you are when it feels like society is not actually on your side.

Us designers, we have to fight together with the people that haven't got the chance to speak out. We have to force people into having the conversations of gender equality, freedom of speech and expression, acceptance and inclusion of cultural and ethnic-diverse communities, ensuring the security from the complete fashion manufacturer's chain, and much more. We cannot keep avoiding these conversations, independently of how difficult and delicate they are. With my input, I am trying to immerse myself and the people around me into the Fashion Activism, because I am sure that together, we can.

INSPIRATION

My own life experience served as inspiration; I never knew who I was. I never knew where I belonged.

After a whole life where my nationality was being questioned in my own place of birth, I moved to England, where that was not questioned anymore. But then I happened to be the foreigner, with social, cultural and language barriers that made it harder to feel as I belonged, again. The whole structure I created along my entire life was shaking, and I needed to know who I was besides my nationality; besides principles, values and ideologies; besides the places I could find myself. I had to know to survive.

I could not be the only one, right? The feminist, Black Lives Matter, LGTBQ+ movements, amongst others, helped me realised that I was not the only one. Also that fighting for your own principles could saves lives, other than your own. Something clicked in my head, and realised that if I never felt that I belonged was for a number of reasons, including the lack of representation of many groups in the normal day to day social activities and surroundings. I am here to help others and myself to be heard.

MY WORK

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

Life is too short to not let yourself free. We are HVMANS and together, we should let ourselves be.

The active fight for human rights promoted the creation of the brand 404 // HVMAN // NOT FOVND, where the we HVMANS were put always first. Within my personal possibilities as a designer I have always tried my best to present the collections within a theme of human sensibility and interaction with the society and the self.

El 'no' ya lo tienes; imposible es todo aquello que no te das la oportunidad de intentar. - [You already have the 'no'; impossible is everything that you don't give yourself the chance to try].
