I'm Nicole, a creative visionary.
I am a soon to be Fashion Communication graduate who aspires to continue to bring my creative visions to life. From photography to creating campaigns, my work always has a purpose.
Capturing special moments in different cultures and communities is what drives my dedication to visual art. Working in environments where I can learn from unknown traditions or unspoken stories is where I thrive. I feel a sense of responsibility to represent people who deserve more attention through my photography.
INSPIRATION
My fascination for photography began when I visited Cape Verde.
I naturally developed my photography style through looking up to National Geographic front covers and Nike campaigns. My visit to Cape Verde was the first opportunity for my to prove I could create visuals which represented my inspiration of documentary photography. It reminded me of the first photography I watched when I was young, a National Geographic documentary based on the famous photograph 'The Afghan Girl', taken in Afghanistan.
Ever since, I have dedicated my work to capturing colourful cultures and communities, from Newcastle. With a love for travel, I make an effort to meet people who have immigrated to the UK and hear their priceless tales. As a Mexican, I am drawn to colour and the firing dedication people have to practice their home countries' traditions. Nevertheless, capturing and learning from communities around the UK has shaped me into the visual communicator that I am.

This is a campaign video I edited together, created with secondary footage, curtesy of Nike.
In partnership with Fashion Revolution, this video is part of a University module which intends to address the under appreciated workers in the fashion industry. This was strictly for University project purposes. I admire Nike's work and their dedication to creating a safe environment for their workers. This video is a great example of my potential for video creating and editing with intent to portray a message.
I want to continue fulfilling my visions. Encapsulating my audience with beautiful people around the world keeps the fire in me alive. I am excited for the future of my work.
