About Me

Hi, I’m Marco from Accademia Costume & Moda

Everything remains there, over the hill ... The desperate search for a Love is the key that opens the door to the collection. All that has been, memories, faces, songs, paintings, poems, photographs ... re-emerge, contained in the pages of a diary that has kept them secretly for a long time.

Those pages also contain love stories between two boys, a journey that catapults them into the wild Sardinia, a rural, enchanted place rich in ancient traditions. The costumes of these lands become an important element to define the volumes and cuts of the various looks. Even death is contained in those pages; death that forever separates two bodies, two souls, a grandfather from his grandson.

INSPIRATION

The headdress used for ceremonies, the spiked corset, the apron and the shirt,

will be the garments taken from the wardrobe of Saracen women, revisited in a modern key, with a taste that looks at high fashion. The winter collection is made with wool fabrics that shape the outerwear like solid sculptures. Lightweight organza shirts with fringes that float like feathers in contact with the air alternate. Embroidery in stones and sequins enrich and embellish skirts and coats. Tailored jackets, fitted at the waist with cuts that shape and give femininity to the wearer.

Meticulous study of the cuts present in the trousers that absorbs the seam of the side by inserting it into the cut that moves forward. The attention to detail of the Sardinian costume and the knowledge of modeling made it possible to seek and create new solutions, revisiting them and bringing some of the forms to the archetype. Music also becomes part of the creative process, capable of bringing back distant memories.

DETAIL

The Painting…

The abstract geometric shapes of Fabrizio Bucchi's painting become the subject for some of the looks. Designs enriched with gold, silver and clear foils that simulate the paints present on the canvas. Among the colors remains black, the black of a light that is off, off forever. Beyond the hill there are also demons, dark shadows, voices, damned souls, who devour and erase even positive memories. Escape before being devoured, taking with you that diary that remembers joyful moments. Remember, forever the hours. There is no death when there is poetry.

"Always the years between us, always the years. Always the love. Always the hours." Stephen Daldry, "The Hours", 2002
